Identification and Recruitment Training

- The ID&R training package is based on a curriculum framework for recruiters
- Designed to develop and enhance eligibility training
- Ongoing professional development of ID&R recruiters.
- Based on OME Draft Identification and Recruitment Manual.
- Will be comprised of:
- Training Program Objectives
- Learning Outcomes
- Scope and Sequence Chart
- Teaching Methodology
- Assessment.
Objectives for ID&R Training
State and local Migrant Education Program personnel will:
- Understand the background of the MEP, the requirements of the MEP, and the duties and responsibilities of a recruiter.
- Implement practices that reflect awareness of ID&R policies, procedures, and parameters.
- Implement practices that result in the efficient identification and recruitment of migrant children.
- Implement practices that result in reliable and valid child eligibility determinations.
- Are aware of and adhere to ethical standards of behavior in child eligibility determinations.
- Implement practices that strengthen coordination between migrant families, the school(s), and the community.
